Dr. Hanson began his medical journey at the University Of Rochester School of Medicine and went on to expand his expertise with an internship in Internal Medicine at MIBRMC/Columbia University.

Dr. Hanson founded and operated a detox hospital (St George detox hospital), serves as the Chief Medical Officer at Altium Health, and directed the medical aspects at multiple establishments like Ascendant Behavioral Health and multiple Treatment Centers. As an advocate for telemedicine, he has also been pivotal in rural telehealth services and notably contributed to weekend coverage units at Provo Canyon Behavioral Hospital.
