Can you share a bit about your role at Liberty and how long you’ve been here?
My role is lead peer support specialist. I am an experience individual in the field of peer support who provides both direct peer support service and leadership or supervision to other peer support staff. My role combines lived experience and recovery from mental health conditions, substance substance use or both with professional responsibilities to help others on their recovery journey while also taking on Organizational or leadership task. I have been with Liberty addiction and recovery for six months
What’s your favorite part of working with clients at Liberty?
My favorite part of working with the clients is helping them rediscover Hope during their most challenging moments I strive to demonstrate that recovery is possible, and not a fulfilling drug free life is within reach through compassion, encouragement, and empowerment. I support clients in rebuilding their self-worth and embracing a healthier more purposeful path.
What’s one thing you hope every client takes away from their time here?
I hope that through their time at Liberty clients come away with a renewed sense of self-worth and the belief that they are enough, just as they are by sharing my live experience. I am to inspire hope and demonstrate that life is worth living, and that healing and transformation are truly possible.
What’s something about you that people might not know (a hobby, fun fact, etc.)
Outside of work, I have a strong passion for fitness and health and I enjoy expressing my creativity through tattoo, art, painting, and drawing. I’m also in an enthusiast of fast cars and love spending time in nature whether it’s hiking or simply being outdoors additionally, I’m a devoted animal lover
