Liberty’s intensive outpatient program is more structured than an average outpatient program but less restrictive than the typical residential program. Our IOP program works as a continuum of care in many ways. If an individual is attending a detox program to start their recovery, they can then enter an intensive outpatient program after their body has safely processed out toxins.
Intensive Outpatient Program
IOP at Liberty
Initial treatment at the Liberty facility supports the recovery throughout its stages. Beginning with monitored detox, the client will move on from there into sober living or recovery residences. These homes provide the safety and supportive environments needed to engage patients to make positive changes.
Eventually, once the patient is ready, they move on to our intensive outpatient program and therapy services. Your loved one will work through intensive therapy while living independently outside of our facility. Typically, they will attend 20 to 25 hours of therapy a week to start. As they make progress, they will gradually move to 4 hours a week. Over time, your loved one will continue on a path to wellness with however much therapy their therapist suggests they need.
The Benefits of Intensive Outpatient Programs
You might be unsure if you or someone you know in need would benefit from IOP’s. This type of program is suited to any individuals who have a strong support system around, specifically the support of those who live with them to help with monitoring. It’s crucial for anyone recovering to be around others who are willing to foster a positive and loving environment, as well as encourage personal responsibility. Remember in this program, you are not alone. Our team of professionals will work closely with your family as well as the individual to ensure that their recovery plan continues to exist outside of the Liberty recovery house.
