Journey & Experience:
1- Can you share a bit about your recovery journey and what brought
you to Liberty?
I have been incarcerated a lot of my life, and using hard drugs
for awhile. I came to Liberty. Because I had exhausted a lot of
resources. Stayed for the quality of care.
2- What was the most impactful part of your time at Liberty?
The day or weeks I stopped be combative and trying to fight
everyone. With LARC helping me I stared gaining valuable
introspective dynamics .
Challenges & Growth:
3- What was the biggest challenge you faced during recovery, and
how did you overcome it?
Cutting negative relationships. And loss of multiple good ppl to
overdose.
4- How has your life changed since leaving Liberty?
I started out obtaining little things like. Bike to ride, drivers
license, paying fines, everyday I kept. Putting checks on the list. Now
I run a business, have an album, I’m off parole.. have nice car. Tons
of sober friends And I am confident in recovery.

Successes & Goals:
5- What are you most proud of in your recovery journey?
I’m most proud of the fact that I have great relationships with
my family again. I’m very happy to talk to my mom and see my
sister’s kids in soccer and dance
6- What goals are you working on now, and what motivates you to
keep going?
My goals probably first is be healthy stay healthy and get more
healthy and then push the limits with discipline and self-awareness.
Advice for Others:
7- What would you say to someone who is just starting their recovery
journey?
I would say to somebody. You’re badass life is waiting for you all
you have to do is trust that things can be good.
8- How do you stay connected to the recovery community?
I stay connected with the community through Liberty alumni I go
to meetings occasionally I’m just around myself smart individuals that
are living a life of recovery or they’re just sober.
