What is inpatient drug rehab in Utah?
Inpatient drug rehab — also called residential treatment — means you live at the facility full-time during your program. No commutes, no returning home to the same environment that contributed to the addiction, and no distractions from doing the actual work of recovery.
For many people, this level of structure is what makes the difference. Outpatient care works well for some, but if the addiction is severe, if there’s a co-occurring mental health condition, or if the home environment isn’t safe, inpatient treatment gives you the foundation everything else is built on.
Our inpatient drug treatment program in Utah runs 24 hours a day. You’ll have access to licensed therapists, peer support, medical oversight, structured programming, and a residential community of people who understand what you’re going through — because they’re in it too.

As a Primary Mental Health facility, Liberty treats addiction and co-occurring conditions — depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma — simultaneously, under one roof. Most facilities can’t say that.
Liberty is one of the very few inpatient rehab centers in Utah that accepts Utah Medicaid. If you qualify, your residential treatment may be covered at zero out-of-pocket cost.
We expanded specifically to reduce wait times. When you’re ready, we want a bed available. Capacity is no longer an excuse for not getting help.
Most addiction has roots in unresolved trauma. Our clinical team is specifically trained in trauma-informed approaches that go deeper than symptom management.
After residential treatment, clients have a clear path: sober living scholarships, IOP and PHP at our West Jordan facility, employment pathways, and an active alumni program.
